inquiry work

Welcome back bloggers.
For the last couple of weeks in class, we have been making Models, slideshows, and presentations all about our inquiry topic. The topic  had  to  somehow relate to mountains.  People  did  topics  such as  snow monkeys, yeti’s, and how mountains are formed.  My topic was  mountain lions  also known as cougars. I made a backdrop with flaps to lift, and lots of  information.
 Here  is  my presentation:
The first thing that I had to do was Cut the paper out into the shape of a cave. Then I cut out some blue felt for the sky and stuck it all down. I added some grass and vines at the bottom, then I started to draw and colour the cougar and her cub.
when I had finished drawing them I stuck them on. I covered my cave in camo material to make it look cool, and then I cut out some of the shapes for the flaps. After gluing everything down, I printed out all the information and glued it all under the flaps. Then after adding some of the finishing touches, I was done!

I hope you like my work and feel free to comment

Des Hunt books, slideshows and more

Welcome back bloggers!
for the past couple of weeks I have been working on a slideshow about a book I am reading.
The book was called Sunken forest, and it was by Des Hunt.
He has published many amazing children's books including:
The Peco Incident
The Tooth
Cool Nukes
Or some shorter ones:
Frog Whistle Mine
Skink Gully
Crown park
You should really check out some of these books. He also has many others, to many to list.
Anyway, back to talking about my slideshow.
I had to do a whole lot of activities around the book, and topics in the book.
Here is the plot or stroyline, that I have summarised for you:

The book was very gripping, and I loved it.
If you want to read to book like I did, here is a picture of it:
