Welcome back bloggers!
Recently we have been reflecting on out gala day that I have been telling you about.
We have made a slideshow full of fun photos and our thoughts! WE used the 5 thinking hats to prompt us along the way. Then we were able to add in images that relate to our thoughts, about the day.
Here is slideshow of gala day fun:
I enjoyed making this slideshow because it reminded me about how super amazing and thrilling the gala day was, without having to leave the class! We had to write at least 4 sentences, but I wrote around 8 for each slide because I had so many great memory's about the day.
I hope you like my work and please leave me a lovely comment!
Blog you later!

Are you sustainable?
Welcome back bloggers,
Over the last couple of days, myself and *Amie have been creating a slideshow that will play in the hall on our big Gala day. If you would like to see my slideshow on the big screen, you can come to our gala day at Waikowhai Primary on the 25th of November, (it starts at 10am and goes to 3pm.) Anyway, my slideshow is about being sustainable, and thinking about what you do with your rubbish (especially plastic!) We talked about what happens to the rubbish, and who your rubbish affects. But we also gave some ways to cut down on your plastic and stop hurting the environment so much. We had some fun ideas that would hep you recycle, and be sustainable!
Here it is:
I hope that after you have looked at this slideshow you are about to go away and do some great things, for the environment and for yourself! Looking after the environment is important to humans because we need to use it every day. The trees give us air, we build our houses on the nice green grass, The plants give us food, and so do the animals. If we keep on littering then we won't have any of these wonderful privileges!
More about the Gala day:
This slideshow all relates to the theme of our Gala day: being sustainable. All the students will be making reusable or recycled products, like some of us are making paper from environmentally friendly resources. Others are making tote bags to help cut down on the amount of plastic people are using. The Gala also celebrates different cultures, and there will be cultural food, and dances!
I hope you like my work and feel free to comment!

The wonderful world of science
Welcome back bloggers,
Today I saw a very exciting and funny science show. The show was called: The crazy world of science. You might have seen them too,
because they travel from school to school performing for kids.
The man doing all the experiments was called Richard, and the sound effects lady was called Robyn. There were lots of exciting parts of the show, but here are some facts about my 2 favourite bits (about water and bubbles).
Why is water so interesting?
Water (or H20) (or dihydrogen oxide) is made up from loads and loads of little atoms. Atoms are very small particles of an element.
Atoms join up to form things called molecules. A water molecule is made out of 3 atoms. 2 of them are Hydrogen atoms (H2), and the last atom is oxygen (0), put them together and you get H20 !
Why are bubbles so interesting?
Bubbles are made of 3 main parts: water, soap and air. This is
why they are the thinnest thing that the human eye can see! When lots of bubbles join together it is called foam. Here's another fact:
bubbles are very rarely popped by gravity. Here are some of the reasons why bubbles do get popped:
Dryness
Evaporation
The sun
Air turbulence
Another thing that I really liked about the show was his magic tricks.
The first one Richard did was get 3 metal rings. Then he made them connect together and pull apart without using his hands at all, it was super cool. The other one he did was when he kept randomly making red pom poms appear. They came out of his:
Pockets, hands, and even his mouth!!!!
I had loads of fun at the show and I really want to see it again, so until them I guess I could try some stuff by myself at home!
Before I go, here are some photos and videos:

Architect or blogger?
Welcome back bloggers
In class we have been doing geometry.
Tinker-cad is a good website to use when using shapes and measuring , which is what we had been doing.
We decided to design a playground because that is something that the juniors are running short of.
Here is my screen-castify about my design:
What is tinker-cad?
This is a website where you can design
3D buildings and places (like playgrounds).
I would recommend it for your geometry!
I found this work quite challenging, because we had to place everything in a very specific place and do lots of calculating so our playgrounds look real. I still really liked the challenge though.

24 Hour Digital Footprint
What site do you go to most?
I think I go to www.typingclub.of all because it is is a touch type website and my teacher wants me to learn to do
touch-typing because it will help my learning.
Would this look different on the weekend?
I think my words would look no different on the weekends
because I don't take my Chrome-book home.
Why do you think the word Google comes up so much in your history?
I think Google comes up so much because
all the things I go on are owned
By Google ( Drive, Mail, Class page.)
We are learning about what we go on most on the internet in 24 hours. First we copied 24 hours worth of history and put it in the box. I clicked the GO! Button and my history turned into a word cloud , then I Edited my work by adding in the typing ( Above ). And last of all I posted this on my Blog!
